Getting Less Sleep Is Similar to Aging Process

The physiological effects of sleep deprivation are much the same as aging, researchers at the University of Chicago say. People who get the least amount of sleep have higher levels of glucose and stress-related hormones. They also feel more irritable. But by "catching up" on their sleep, the sleep deprived can improve their mood, and their glucose and hormone levels return to normal.
